New Buckner Twangness

I just found out this morning that Richard Buckner has a new album, Meadow, slated to be released on September 12.

Dig.

Comments:
What'd ya think of his last album, that one w/ the white cover?

Dents & Shells? Yeah, I dig dag dug. I have to admit, though, that I'm not an impartial judge, believing, as I do, that he's one of the most compelling songwriters in business today. He could do covers of sitcom theme songs and I'd probably think they were great. Anyway, I like the different directions he's been going w/ some of the band-orient(at)ed stuff, and some of the collaboration tunes with Jon Langford are also quite good, esp. 'Do You Wanna Go Somewhere?'. I celebrate his entire catalogue.

All that to say--I'm looking forward to the blue and wonder of the new 6-strang tunes.

Have you got it, Eric?

Mmmmmmmm...good.

You better believe I downloaded it like a screaming banshee on Tuesday. Hope to get some comments up forthwith. Or, rather, semi-forthwith. That is to say, on a day which is not today.
